Heat wave advisories posted throughout the region for yesterday and today, and then hopefully, a cool down. Lucia reported 100 degrees on the coast, yesterday. I did not notice how hot it got up here, as I was otherwise engaged. Stay cool and fire safe, everyone! And NOAA weather discussion had this to say:

It was 88* in Pacific Grove yesterday and predicted to be around the same today. I haven't melted yet, but i'm close. LOL
I'm on the edge every time i see the spotter planes or helicopters overhead. Reminds me too much of lastyear and the fires just a couple blocks away on 3 seperate occasions.
I pray that this year we get more rain inbetween these exceptionally warm days in order to keep the fires at bay. The weather news reported chance of showers on Friday & i'm wondering if that means thundershowers? This weather reminds me of the Grand Canyon rim.
Yesterday here in Pismo Beach it topped 100 but it's much cooler today. I was really worried; the high humidity with the high heat felt exactly the way it did June 21 last year, when the Hidden Garden tour got torpedoed by the lightning fires.
