We are surrounded by such as this every day of our lives here. But to be confronted by a portrait of spectacular land, know it's our hillsides and our meadows, know it's not plane & train & car trips away or waiting a lifetime to walk through in two short weeks of one summer but only takes turning around from where we stand...takes my breath away. Thanks, Kate. I'm not in Brooklyn any more.
