Celebration of life

Remember, we will celebrate the lives of our friends, Terrydactyl, Jefe, and Howie, this Saturday, the 14th at Sand Dollar Picnic area. Guy will start BBQing around noon, and serve when it is ready. Bring some or all of the following: snacks, a dish to share, drinks, music, stories, laughter, flowers, photos, or whatever you feel you can share. Guy, Ralph, and I will provide the meat. We will bring some beer and wine. Penny is bringing the chicken, snacks, and paper goods. Hope to see many of my rarely seen neighbors and friends on Saturday. One campsite has been reserved as a sort of mini group site for those who come from afar.

  • My prayers and wishes go out to the three souls that are looking over us. Though I am right now far away in the mountains of Idaho (and only got to internet service today...and for a few more days, before returning to the "back woods"), I am there in spirit. All three did a lot for us. Howie, with his music jam sessions and instruction at the school, Terrydactyl, with his aerial legacy, and finally, Jeffe, as a true friend. I cannot even count all the times that Jeffe was waiting for me at the beach at Mill Creek (and Duncan, too), to make sure I safely land my little Captain Lingcod skiff through the surf, after a fishin' day. They colored my life forever.
...I have a set of about 75 photos that Jeffe took of me fishing, during an incredible sunset. I'll try to dig them up from my files, and send a couple of them.
May the Jade Spirit bless them all!

  • I regret I can't be there as I'm visiting family on the East Coast. I'll be thinking of each of them and the contribution to our small community and the friendship they gave me. I'll miss all the stories everyone is sharing but I'll have my own memories in my head! I hope the weather cooperates and their spirits are right there with you. Lisa
