Given that watersheds are saturated from the prior storm on Tuesday…some smaller creeks may approach or overtop banks. * Storm drains may be overwhelmed and culverts may become blocked by debris…urban flooding is likely. At times… rainfall rates may exceed guidance thresholds for producing debris flows and slides in mountainous areas. Always strange to me how different countries' traffic advisories are stated .
Like here in Singapore , the traffic advisories say things like " a danger of pooling" , instead of a " danger of flooding " , can you imagine that ?
Or how about instant coffee mixing in a cup , called "melting" not , "disolving " ?

Even if not in the most desired or optimal form, this rain is needed. The recent droughts mean that the life-sustaining aquifers are depleted. Big Sur needs 45" of rain a year to stay in equilibrium. Given the continuing attack of the sub-human Carbon Gas Gluttons and the resulting unstable weather patterns like drought followed by fire followed by heavy rains followed by slides and flooding, the community needs to develop new mantras, prayers and ceremonies to entreat Nature to treat the Big Sur Nation as kindly as possible.
