Kate’s internet is not reliable at the moment. She will call me for updates regarding the Jade Festival. At the moment it is still on hold. Kate says Sam Farr was able to obtain an exemption on the permit. Parking and camping are still issues. We will keep you posted.

  • Amazingly, I finally got Internet here at home Sunday afternoon. The Jade Festival Committee is hard at work looking at all options, doing their best to make this happen, but it really is out of our hands. There is some confusion re the special use permit, and whether it is the school's or the SCCLT, sponsors of the festival.

If I can't get on Internet, Debbie has graciously offered to be on standby by phone so that I can post updates as they become available. Just know that there are people working very hard behind the scenes to make the 22nd Annual Jade Festival happen, despite the government shut down.
