Personality One, #19

This is the last installment of Don’s history. There is a hard to read map I will post next week, but it can’t be divided in two easily, will be small, and Don’s handwriting isn’t the easiest.

  • What a great ending. Looked up Helen Wills Moody. She was a World class Tennis player who even defeated a # 6 American male tennis player in 1933. Thank you Kate for sharing a wonderful series.

  • I will miss these entries Kate. History has never been told better or presented in a more entertaining way.

  • Hi Kate. My puny eyesight can hardly discern Don's writings. Is there any way I could obtain on an 8 1/2 X 11 format. I would LOVE to be able to read this... I'll PAY costs! Thanks. wally barnick ps: hope you are doing well!

    • Wally, I can send you a digital copy of the entire series, including the map, but it is still hard to read!

  • I really enjoyed this series Kate. Thanks for passing Don's identification of place names and their origins, on to the rest of us.

    • I am glad you all enjoyed this series as much as I did. I will gladly email the entire series to those who want it. Butch, I'm sending it on to you!

  • Hiya Kate, longtime reader, first time poster; I was wondering if you could send me a copy of this wonderful south coast historical document? Thanks a million from the big sur valley

    • On its way. BTW, if you happen to ask when I'm in town with fast access, you get it same day. If not, well, no promises.

  • Hi Kate...I would like to thank you for putting my dad's history on your website. I read all your post it brings back memories of the years I was raised on the coast. Keep up the good work.
