Mike here. Unfortunately we were fogged in again and I could not venture to a spot where this magnificent moon is visible. Here is the moon from August 8 taken from Rio Road in Carmel. For those fortunate enough to be able to take in this rare moon event, congratulations!

Last evening I was fogged in and did not get a look at this remarkable moon. Tonight I'll travel inland if need be.
Fogged in the Valley too, totally annoying, not even a moonset glimpse this morning. The air last night was diffused and luminous, but never gave way to a brighter place or hint of where the orb was hiding.
