  • Believe it or not, this is how I get my weather report. Dave and Kate, thanks for that. Dave, I've also been wanting to say I enjoy reading what you write in the Big Sur periodical Jaci and her colleagues put out. In fact, thanks to all for contributing, it makes this Capitolan feel that I am right there with you!

  • That is wonderful news! Noel and I (plaskett crk. camphosts) just want to say thanks to all of you, whom we've had the chance to meet over the last 2 years! Noel and I have decided to move on to other beautiful places, in this wonderful world. As you have shown us, Kate...there is alot to see out there and it's time for us to do just that. We are looking forward to our new adventure in the Sierra's. We will be back for the Jade fest for sure! Thanks again to all our friends who live and work in the Big Sur. Big Sur is definetly a place called, "Paradise" and always will be to us. Noel and Denise

    • Ah, Noel and Denise ... So wonderful having you two as neighbors. Who is going to help me reunite dogs and their owners? We all wish you the best in your new adventure ... I see snow in your future!😉

Be sure to stop by the main SCCLT booth on Saturday next year to say hi and share your adventure stories! Hugs bigsurkate

  • Denise and Noel,
We will miss you as good neighbors. Thank you for your contributions to our community. May you both be blessed with your life ahead in the High Sierras. Ski first tracks for me!

  • So sorry to see you go, you've been great hosts at Plaskett and I have only heard great reports from the campers there. I remember saying to you last year, when the campground was closed during the Jade Festival due to the Gov't Shutdown, that you must have been happy so you could now enjoy the festival and you responded with remorse for the visitors who had no place to stay! You will be sorely missed! Best of luck to you!
    Lisa
