I doubt that this was an "accident." Someone made a mistake. Most car crashes do not happen by chance.
Here, we speculated all the way home re how she did this. Yes, the driver was a she. The good thing is no one appeared to be injured, and her mistake did not involve another car.

I'm guessing she'd been hitching a ride on the back of a giant tortoise who got to this bend in the road and decided to go the other way (without letting her know) just as she was texting her boyfriend about the cool stuff that happens in Big Sur. Same exact thing happened to a half sister of mine once.
