  1. Well, I do the ‘like’ out of habit and complement you on your reporting, Kate.
But it’s a far cry from good news. The remarkable thing is following the time frame and seeing how quickly everything produced an alert, got responded to, patched up and cleared out. We are a country of remarkable efficient thinking and action. And nobody’s got a patch on Big Sur first responders.

  2. I got stuck in this on my way home around noon. Hiway was backed up forever. Sure am glad I know all those little farm field roads.
    Glad no one was hurt.
On a separate note, got in the So Coast ridge rod and found an abandoned campfire in the brush smoldering away.

  3. Geri, glad you came by that campfire in time. Ever vigilant over the idjits!

  4. And there was one last night abandoned at the top of the Noc Driveway. Time to start calling 911 on a wildfire, because, In effect, that’s what it is, just not out of control at this point. That is what the USFS told me to do a year or two ago. In the mean time, TAKE PHOTOS OF ANY AND ALL,
