Deer Fire – Lake Nacimiento

I have been trying to blog about this fire since yesterday, to no avail. No internet all day.

Cal Fire threw absolutely everything but the kitchen sink at it, so it never got out of control, although it was spotting over retardant lines yesterday. Today it is only about 150 acres, last I heard, and they were getting the upper hand. Here is a photo taken by Tarren Collins taken shortly after it started at only 25 acres.

Okay, maybe the photo won’t load. Darn.

  • Damnably impressive plume, glad it's not growing.
    Thanks for the alerts, Kate.
Me too, lousy computer connects for two days, screwy stuff going odd places or no internet, maybe overflow Chinkhack (that's got to be bad PC) or NoKorCommies. Ruskies? Okay, I'll stop, I'm having too much fun.
