Rain total, Monterey County, 1/5/16 at 5:30 am

At 5:30 am up here, the rain rate was a full 6″/HOUR. Now, at 10:00, it has picked up again.

    • Flooding, and rocks in the road reported from Santa Cruz north to San Jose, but nothing reported down here, yet. However, that being said, Cal Trans is just getting out for their dawn patrol now, at 7 am, so we might still hear of sliding after they have made their first pass. If you can, I'd give it an hour before you head down, Mark.

  • At the school, we had thunderous sheet-rain early morning (3-5 am). Gauge had ,8 inches from overnight, and 1,05 inches storm total.
