New Brush Fire at Lake Nacimiento-HILL Fire

2:30 – this is an early photo, fire has spread since this was taken. Tankers are on load and hold right now, so it’s looking like they might have a handle on this one. I hope so, anyway.

    • I know, right? BUT they just put the tankers on load and hold, so looks like they think they have a handle on it. Road to be closed for 4 hours.

  • Regine, It's Nacimiento Lake Rd., closest to Paso Robles. If you find the intersection of Hwy. 46 and 101, then zoom in to 24th street, which leads to Nacimiento Lake Rd. Follow it NW to where it intersects Chimney Rock and Godfrey Rds. Godfrey Rd. leads to Heritage Ranch area on SW side of Lake Nacimiento. Hope that helps.

  • I don't know how you're keeping up, as it is! I had just read your post and figured I'd let Regine know, as I'm watching to see if the Heritage Ranch area continues to be in the safe zone--as with Chimney Fire. Hope you're right that this one is out before it becomes a beast...

    • Cynthia, I don't know how I am keeping up, either, but tonight, I am turning it all off, taking up the book I have been trying to read for 6 weeks, and climbing into my freshly laundered bed,. I am knackered.
