  3. I feel so sorry for your loss. I have four dogs who I’m close too, and the inevitable, I will have to face at some point. I am grateful for the comfort they give.

  10. Thank you, everyone. Today is hard, and tears await around every corner. I am lucky to have had Rock Knocker volunteer to handle this for me. The last time I took G to the vet, he was so miserable due to the long drive, couldn’t walk when we got there, and had to spend the night in order to be able to get back home. Today, he got to stay home and be laid to rest here. He will always be with me.

  12. Oh, Kate…I’m so very sorry for your loss. I have tears in my eyes right now. I lost my beloved 10 year old Rottie/Lab Pete not long ago, and I feel you pain and sadness. Hugs to you..

  19. We know the feeling having just lost our Magic. The rainbow bridge is EXACTLY how we view it… our pride of kitties are waiting for us and taking care of each other until we are all together. Your Gideon is surely there waiting for you but, if you are at all like us, his spirit stays around and watches over you until then. Our condolences
