  • Right in the middle of cooking a brunch before fingers crossed on any further alerts like power going out. Good to know these apps are on the ball.

  • Hurricane-like winds with waves of sheet rain coming down at the school. This raging storm is intensifying. Phone lines are going out, then back on, then back out again. Tree debris and fallen branches everywhere. Fortunately, we are up on a plateau between Plaskett and Pruitt Creeks which gives a margin for flooding issues.

  • The intense drama of the hurling rain, the fierceness of the cleansing wind, isolating this world from the invasion along the fragile ribbon of coast road, keeping trespassers at bay from this magnificent kingdom by the sea.
Solace, natural gusting Creator of quiet and isolation, ahhh... Peace.

    • Oh, I love that, Wally. Just wish I could be out in it, on the road, dodging rocks (and hapless tourists)

    • Oh, it was wine 30 an hour ago. You must mean Michael Troutman, and no, no word, yet. Probably will stay out as long as he can
