Thanks to the CHP officer who escorted me to the slide to take this photo. He said that Monterey County Public Works received the call at 7:30 am and they are en route. They are also concerned about the electrical pole in the second photo – condition to be determined by PG&E. Photos taken at 10 am by lucasryancv.

Complete with landscaping, trees and shrubs. You'd think that nature has had enough of tourists. I just hope you good people are warm and dry enough to see this latest hit out. I'm sure most of you are used to the unusual and coping just fine, I hope so.
Is there a number to call to find out when it's cleared? The officer estimated that would be this afternoon but he didn't have a number.
