  • at 5:45pm, a CHP officer just north of Little Sur, told me hwy 1 to town is clear and that the closures (going both north and south) are soft for locals. And he said things are moving and that could change at any time. And not to quote him!
LOTS of standing mud and water in places, be cautious!

  • I'm sure these conversations do happen, but, does one really want to put someone on the spot w/o proper clearance?

  • everyone makes their own decisions about information and about choices. You don't like it, don't use it.
