Great picture, thanks for posting. Does anybody know why the bridge was destroyed with big equipment--which wasn't cheap to move or use--instead of dynamite?

  Lots of reasons - less ability to control, more ecologically sound to use the equipment, too dangerous.

The equipment is also needed to remove the old Pfeiffer Canyon Br. from the canyon.
