Kate,
Is this normal to have so many at this same location? Does the location have its own fire staff on the property?
Yes, to both questions. Every summer, when training exercises take place there are fires out there started by the firing, the tanks, or what have you. USFS Fire fighters sometimes transfer to FHL Fire Dept. Good dept. I know a retired fire captain who was there for 38 years. I consult with him re the tankers flying out of Paso and any FHL fires.

I travel thru FHL to and from my home almost daily. It is my understanding that Mission Rd will be closed between 10:30 and1:30 today due to live firing. Possibility of fire big concern.
