I’d like to invite Big Sur residents to visit NOAA’s website “CoCoRaHS.org.”
It is a community based weather site that allows you to record rainfall or snow totals to help establish patterns around the country. There are two participants in Carmel Highlands, but Big Sur data is lacking. Please take a look and help out.

  Michael, I tried working with Charles Bell, because, as I recall, this requires a constant internet? And down here, most of us only have internet when Solar is working. My readings are notoriously low as my gauge is in the rain shadow of my roof. I keep saying I am going to move it, but havent gotten around to it...
