Another Atmospheric River??

This was just sent to me tonight. Prepare for the possibility.

“GEFS ensemble mean has been suggesting the possibility of another #atmosphericriver impacting the West Coast late next week for the last two days. Latest GEFS forecast of mean 700-hPa geopotential height, 700-hPa wind, and standardized PW anomalies valid 1800 UTC Friday 6 April.” (Meterologist Alicia Bentley, PhD)

Mmmmmm. Is there a layman’s version of this?? I can’t tell whether to batten the hatches or break out the bikini.

  And that would depend on where you live. If in Hawaii, Pineapple Express will wet your bikini. If in Big Sur, then batten down the hatches.
