Arroyo Seco Duck Race

I could use a bit of help promoting the Duck Race… (Please check out the link for further information:
This benefits our local firehouse and will help pay for training staff and other such things. This is our main fundraiser. As you can see it’s locals getting together. Mad Otter Ale is supplying the beer, it’s chicken beans and corn on the cob, for $10.00 and a $5.00 donation for a “craft” beer. So for $20.00. you get fed, and two beers, which these days, is a good deal. Other non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase. There is a far better chance of winning the Duck Race than the California lottery.
If you could help spread the word…. it would be appreciated…

  • Kate, wouldn't a local rodeo get a larger response and funding base to add a better chance of succeeding?

  • Awesome! Something I can do to "help" and I won't have to deal with Rio Road, Hwy One or the zillion idiots on the road that I keep reading about. Checked a couple driving apps and they all clueless about the real road conditions. Only 1 hour and 10 minutes to Big Sur ... and that's once I get to Salinas! Bull $hit. Maybe they think I sprouted wings... lol
I'll post it on Nextdoor with a reminder later in the week.
As for a local rodeo... a lot more work. Me - I'm all over a BBQ, a couple beers and watching my Rubber Duckie float down the river! And if that's not enough, there's a half dozen wineries I'll have too drive by to get home... all on backroads. :)
Gotta run! Need to go buy some plants and support the Spay and Neuter Program at the Salinas Animal Shelter.

  • Who can I can talk with to receive further information about this upcoming event that I can use for a local news story to air on Thursday, April 26?
