From John Lindsey: “Rainfall amounts are forecast to range between 0.10 and 0.25 of an inch. At this time, specific rainfall amounts are unclear, especially with the remnants of Hurricane Rosa factor in, but confidence is growing that there will be some precipitation across the Central Coast. This rain will also reduce fire danger.”
From NOAA this am: “After another seasonably warm day across the region today, a change in the weather pattern is likely late this week into early next. Depending on the track of this system, rain shower may be possible across the region Monday into Tuesday.”

Yes, and NOAA puts a bull’s eye on the South Coast of Big Sur of rather extreme totals, BUT low to moderate confidence levels, so tomorrow should give more insight.

Yes, Andrew. The forecasts for the last few days have been all over the map - from 5-8” to completely dry down here, with rain staying out over ocean. I had my hopes up, but have not given up until Thursday.

Kate, I drove as far north as Sutro Tower in SF - not one drip of rain or scattered shower on the way back! Nothing. I did see picturesque sunset with what looked like a wall cloud covering most of the Monterey Bay off the Marina coast.
Yes, it is rather disappointing, after all the hype. The rain will come, eventually.
