Sustainable Transportation Demand Management Plan

Thank you for your interest in the Big Sur Highway 1 Sustainable Transportation Demand Management Plan. The Public Draft of the Plan, Appendices, and presentation materials for the upcoming meetings are now uploaded to the project website, www.sustainablehighway1.com. If you wish to review the Plan and submit comments, please follow the directions on the website.

Big Sur Coast – A 100-mile majestic experience from Carmel to Hearst Castle – is experiencing travel pressures that could damage the very scenic qualities and natural beauty that make the area so precious.

Caltrans invites you to share in a public event to provide feedback on developing a sustainable Transportation Demand Management (TDM) plan.  The purpose for the public meetings will be to:

  • Discuss the Draft TDM Document, opportunities, and toolkit;

Tuesday, October 29th :

South Public Meeting – 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm in Cambria
