Road Conditions Report for next week

TAMC CONE ZONE REPORT

ROAD AND LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR November 3 – November 9 

MONTEREY COUNTY – Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday, November 3 through Saturday, November 9 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent. 

Highway 1: Highway 1 – Lime Creek Bridge: November 4 – November 8   
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 between the Monterey County Line and Lime Creek Bridge for paving work along the highway from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Highway 1: Pfeiffer Burns State Park: November 4 – November 5   
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 at Pfeiffer Burns State Park for drainage work along the highway from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Highway 1: Big Creek Bridge: November 4 – November 8   
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 at Big Creek Bridge for bridge work from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday – Thursday; and 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.

Highway 1: Bixby Creek Bridge – Hurricane Point: November 4 – November 8   
One-way traffic controls will be in place on northbound and southbound Highway 1 between Bixby Creek Bridge and Hurricane Point for striping and paving work along the highway from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Highway 68: Piedmont Avenue – State Route 1 (Pacific Grove to Monterey): November 3 – November 8   
One-way traffic controls will be in place along eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between Piedmont Avenue and State Route 1 for drainage work along the highway from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Oh, joy. I am going north next week to the tune of 3 construction zones, not counting the ever-present Paul’s Slide with flaggers and signals. For some reason, there the flaggers let the SB traffic though at a ratio of 3 to 1 to the NB traffic.

  • Take some snacks to munch on, a camera for any interesting shots, some reading material, leave early- enjoy the vistas.
    Breath deeply, the journey is a pretty one. :)

    • That is my plan. I don’t have to be there until 4, so I will leave before noon, stop for lunch somewhere, and just enjoy the journey.
