When you join CABS, you demonstrate support for initiatives to:

  • Create a sustainable tourism plan for Big Sur.
  • Insist on innovative community housing solutions.
  • Set a higher bar for visitor behavior with the Big Sur Pledge.
  • Properly align the Coastal Trail through Big Sur.
  • Demand balance between public access, safety and environment.
  • Provide community disaster relief services when needed most.

Annual and/or lifetime membership in CABS entitles you to a number of benefits including voting for Board members, an opportunity to attend invitation only “Big Surian dinner parties” as well as documentary proof that you are a “local”, entitling you to discounts at some Big Sur businesses.  Membership also gives you access to periodic, in depth updates on CABS initiatives, including steps to co-create a sustainable tourism plan for Big Sur.

Your membership and participation can influence positive outcomes for our community. By joining and financially supporting CABS you help create a larger, more diverse source of local inspiration necessary for planning our future.
