Dolan Fire, Day 39, 9/26/20

Due to increased heat, winds, change in direction, and thus increased fire danger, the next 3 days will be critical toward holding existing containment, particularly in the south and the east of the fire, per yesterday’s morning briefing.

  • I was walking the beach in San Simeon this AM and saw that HWY 1 is open. Thought I would let you and the folks up your way know that traffic heading up is looking to be fairly busy.

    • Fortunately, the USFS has posted people to guard the roads with access to the back country to keep people on highway one and moving on through the fire area to a destination away from it.
