I was walking the beach in San Simeon this AM and saw that HWY 1 is open. Thought I would let you and the folks up your way know that traffic heading up is looking to be fairly busy.
Fortunately, the USFS has posted people to guard the roads with access to the back country to keep people on highway one and moving on through the fire area to a destination away from it.
