I visited my 88 year-old aunt this past week, and like all such trips, it was good to get home.

Your aunt must have appreciated your visit so much. It was good of you to travel in these times!
My 97 year old aunt phoned me the other day, asking about my kids and siblings by name. She lives in Spokane and I've only seen her a handful of times in the last decade. She's never phoned before, but was feeling lonely as her daughter couldn't visit the senior home, one person to a table dining - all the stories we hear now.
Thank you Kate, for being a virtual angel keeping people connected: through fires, floods, drought and pandemic! With beauty and good will. Your love of Big Sur benefits in ways you'll never hear, ripples outward...
Reminds me of this:
"I live in that solitude which is so painful in youth, but delicious in the years of maturity."
--- Albert Einstein
Amen. You are a diamond in the rough. Thank you. We are grateful.
