Your image is stunning. (Already familiar with both links.) I can certainly understand how hard it might have been to find any beauty in this past week. I've had a hard time keeping from hiding under the covers. Not easy holding my breath for the next 10-11 days.
Thank you for sharing this Barry Lopez essay, Kate. I'm a big fan of his but hadn't seen this one. I was fortunate to have the chance to meet him in Seattle a few years ago and was saddened to hear of his recent passing. He will be missed.
