Absolutely gorgeous shots, Kate. It reminds me of the very first time I looked down on the fog come creeping in like that. It was in Big Sur -oh so very, very many years ago!
Thanks for the memory.
Happy Sunday!
Just beautiful (when you're up above!).
Soon after we moved here (21 years ago), my husband asked what I wanted to name our home.
The first foggy evening I replied, “Looking down on Heaven.”
Nice shots. Similar to your b&w that The Weekly featured a few weeks ago. You're capturing dramatic images up there without needing color.
One of my favorite things about Big Sur. What superb pictures!
I wrote a story about the fog in Big Sur. It can be so eerie and the same time so refreshing. As a child, I rode with my aunt from Carmel to Hot Springs, it was so foggy she had to open her door and feel for the painted center line, while I looked out my side to keep from going over a cliff! Yet, on the other hand, fog can be so refreshing when it dusts one's face. Beautiful to see roll in as well as roll out. Quite a beautiful part of Big Sur, for sure! Your pictures are amazing! Thank you for sharing!!
