Forest health, wildfire report, and Smokescreen Webinar recording

From Los Padres Forest Watch. Some valuable information here on wildfires and forests that I felt was important enough to repost here.

Act Now: Tell Congress to Protect Forests Ask your members of Congress to protect Pine Mountain, Mt. Pinos, and other forests on public lands from unnecessary logging. Stop the push to reduce “regulatory hurdles” for projects proposed under the guise of wildfire mitigation, forest “health,” and “resilience” that can harm forests and put species and our climate at risk. We don’t have to sell out our forests to protect our communities.
Contact your members of Congress.
Read the New California Wildfire Report Co-authored by ForestWatch StaffA new report on fire ecology and policy was recently prepared by the Environment Now Foundation and released to the public. The report contains sections authored by scientists and conservationists, including ForestWatch’s very own conservation director, Bryant Baker.
