Response time is critical. Maybe keep a watch going and cover as much area as possible? Pilots could fly spotter sorties?

Driving the backroad between San Lucas and San Ardo got about six drops of precipitation on the windshield Sunday afternoon. As much as I love a good thunderstorm I found myself praying for none unless there was a downpour to go with it. It was a beautiful day and night with all of those clouds.
