It would be interesting to know the fire history, the Rx fire history, and the species diversity, richness, and change before and after the burns. As far as I know (please correct me!) no such data exist, and no gathering of same is anticipated.
Prediction: The weeds and weedy grasses will grow back after the burn; the question remains, more or less, more or less? The ones that grow back also will burn. What's the net (expected) gain with respect to fire hazard reduction and how long will it last?
Exactly which scientific facts point to the cost-effectiveness of this "Rx" burn? What WERE the calculations? What ARE the basic requirements for an Rx burn?
