Weather watching, 7/18/22

Just posted to twitter by NWS: ”Currently tracking some showers in SLO county that are approaching Monterey county. These cells have produced some lightning near Shandon. Expect the potential for thunderstorms for southern Monterey and southern San Benito counties through the evening. #CAwx”

I suspect, based on other predictions I have read that the potential for thunderstorms with be on the SE portion of MoCo, not the coast.

  • the air is feeling pregnant and heavy, clouds are piling up, forecast seems about right. this didn't used to happen but now it's almost regular. and scary as hell.

  • Nice day in SLO and Morro Bay. In between sprinkles for almost an hour early afternoon. Sending these clouds north. Thanks for your earlier report!
