Good afternoon,
I’m reaching out to notify you that tomorrow, October 16, the Santa Lucia Conservancy will conduct a prescribed burn along Rancho San Carlos Road near the Hacienda within the Santa Lucia Preserve. Please do not be alarmed if you see smoke in Carmel Valley rising from this area.
Because prescribed burns are dependent on weather conditions, the date of the burn is subject to change with little notice. We will email you necessary updates. To learn more about the goals of the prescribed burn and the measures we have in place to ensure safety, please read our prescribed burn fact sheet or reach out to Conservancy staff:
