  • Aside from showing the large scale of work being done and much more to do, these photos look almost like impressionist paintings in the multi-range of colors and angles. Beautiful. Thank you for posting Kate. All of us eager to see the road repaired not only see the progression, but reinforce the mysterious ever-present beauty of Big Sur.

  • Thanks so much for these quietly dramatic still shots of the massive work in progress. Cross out progress: repairs is what I mean. Which excavation line is the repaired road going to be on?

  • Thank you for sharing it takes a lot of of work and thinking to figure out the best route to take in order to pave a new route especially in this situation. Thankful for those who are working on this projects no simple task and obviously safety is a huge concern. Your photos shows the depth of the slide and the massive task on hand to get this most treasured road up and running so that we can enjoy our scenic coastline again. Amazing photos!
