Photo Sunday, 11/5/23: Log Jam, photos and report by Barbara Ray

Here are some pictures of the log jam.

They stunned the fish, then caught them, and released them north of the work area. They put netting on both sides of the bridge.  They are not allowed to drive in the river.

They built a road to the highway and fill the wooden boxes with smaller wood and carry it up the the road to the highway where they put it in dump trucks and carry it away.  They leave some of this wood on the highway for locals to pick up for firewood.

  • Thanks for the great pix!

The concrete block (?) "retaining" wall looks a little (or very) rocky. If it fails, how would it affect the road?

The stream is just doing what streams do.
