  • "Clearing" backfires. The resulting regrowth (weeds and resprouting) ignites more readily and spreads faster, not to mention other downsides like erosion and ecosystem destruction/degradation than fuel SEPARATION, which removes the readily-combustible fuels. It's also cheaper each year. Not to mention being ugly.
