Regent’s Slide weekly update, 8/29/25

Appointed appellate counsel for indigent defendants (retired.) I have lived in Big Sur since 1984, first on the north coast, and on the South Coast since 1989.

  • From an 8/15 post I pulled out this from Caltrans: “ Full scale excavation work has continued at Regent’s Slide since mid-July with crews able to sustain production in part due to the effectiveness of the installation of thousands of shear dowels. Averaging 60 ft. in length, these steel bars are being drilled and grouted into the cut slope above the active work area.”
