These fine photos do illustrate the band-aid fix being applied here.
No offense to CalTrans efforts meant by this observation, merely to say that the mountain is big, nature is great, and if the geologic forces decide to do more than flick a few rocks, then the nets won't be able to avail much protection. =\
But yes, at least those rocks will be prohibited from harming drivers and passengers along the road.
