This is one of the loves of my life, Gideon, an eight year-old Aussie/BC mix. He was diagnosed with heart worm. We are treating it, but it is not a good experience for either of us, and he won’t even start the shots until May.
If you have dogs, and either live in or bring them to Big Sur, make sure and get them tested and get them on heart worm preventative medications. I am so sorry I let his run out. Thankfully, Dakota is not affected.

It's so sad that you both have to go through this. But I believe G-Dog will pull through with flying colors. How can he not when he has you loving him so much, and there to care for his every need. He looks so sweet in that picture. You can see the love in his eyes. And as one of your friends, I have seen the love in your eyes for all your furry kids. Your a good woman Kate to go to all the extremes you need to save his life. It's not easy when you live so far from a vet. We are all pulling for you both!
