We are surrounded by such as this every day of our lives here. But to be confronted by a portrait of spectacular land, know it's our hillsides and our meadows, know it's not plane & train & car trips away or waiting a lifetime to walk through in two short weeks of one summer but only takes turning around from where we stand...takes my breath away.
