As of 5:30 this evening, CHP is reporting a vehicle over the edge, 70 feet down, just north of Bixby Bridge. One reporting party seems to indicate the parties were out of the vehicle, and seemed okay. NOTE the comments below re another incident at Sycamore Canyon re a roll-over, so very unclear at the moment.

I believe this was misreported to someone along the line....
Vehicle roll over edge traffic accident at Sycamore Rd. - Pfeiffer Beach.
Units responded to Bixby Bridge and could not locate an additional vehicle rollover.
Crystal, CHP is reporting two incidents - one about 3:45 of a vehicle 1500 feet over the embankment at Sycamore Canyon, with two people being evaluated (and this makes no sense to me, as I can't envision an embankment being 1500 ft in that area) and a second later one by an hour or more later north of Bixby, where the car was 70 ft down, and people were out of the car and walking around. Now 70 ft down the side HERE makes no sense - 1500 ft does. So, yes, there is confusion, so we will just have to wait to see what the real incident or incidents were.
Thank goodness! I was walking out of Point Lobos when I saw 2 police cars, sirens blazing, and then right after 2 fire trucks. I was hoping and praying #1. It wasnt someone I knew and #2. It wasnt fatal, and no one was hurt.
Thanks for the quick update!
