No noon time access today at Paul’s Slide due to slide activity with minimal

visibility due to fog. We will provide an update this afternoon regarding this evening’s 7 PM access.

  • I really hope this is not how this while summer will be. I know their are safety concerns but its impossible to go about life and make any kind of plans if this is going to happen all the time from here on out. I'm getting tired of feeling trapped behind locked gates and being told when I'm allowed to leave or not. If its not safe to work that's fine, but why shut it down completely as long as its passable. I've survived years driving through slide areas without being told I can't. I'm smart enough to use my own judgment, just like everyone else who has done it for years.

  • what is the status of the closure at ragged point vicinity? haven't heard anything about it.
