  • The Paul's Slide problem is a perfect example of negligence. Not by CalTrans but by Madonna. Madonna still holds the contract for Paul's Slide until next April, so CalTrans cannot do anything there. They have had ample time since the last storm to clear out behind the krails but never did a thing about it, which led to this. It was very apparent this was going to happen if nothing was done. And nothing was done. They need to be held responsible for this and after last winters shenanigans with them I know they don't give a rats about any of the locals and how they affect them with their less than satisfactory effort. That's my 2 cents...

    • To be fair, they did ONE pass after the 1/9 storm, but that was it...but that was clearly not enough, and otherwise, I Agee with you.

    • Madonna Construction out of SLO is the company that won the contract. John Madonna, son of Alex Madonna, builder of many things, including the Madonna Inn in SLO. Alex Madonna also known for his many great philanthropic works for his community.
