Coast Fire

I’ve been busy covering this one for Watchduty.org so haven’t been able to post here. I highly recommend watch duty. As I type it is 15 acres with a slow rate of spread. Tankers and helicopters are working it. Kerri Frangioso sent me these 2 photos she took:

Rachel Goldberger sent this one of the helicopter and the Little Sur River

  • Thanks Kate. I noticed you are posting on the app called “Watch Duty” which is a fantastic app if any of your readers are inclined to keep track of fires in the area. I highly recommend it.

    • Yes, I am a reporter for Watch Duty and have been for a couple years. Nothing better to keep track of wildfires. Great team of volunteers.

  • Best of good work..& may this burn just enough to provide a fire break...be safe, fast & effective..may all those snakes etc be good hiders and survive

  • Thanks for the updates. Both here and on watch duty. WD is a great app and very customizable to my locations of interest.

Any ideas yet as to the start of this fire? It seems pretty far away from much of anything ...
