Coast Fire Update, 6/18/24

From LPF PIO: “The fire is 20 acres and 15 percent contained. The forward rate of spread was stopped and it’s a matter of getting line cut before we can up the containment percentage. We have two Los Padres Hotshot crews now assigned to the fire.”

  • I would encourage enthusiastically much ore attention to instructing & defining what constitutes safe and considerate back country behavior. In that the incarceration process in the US fails entirely at all levels, I'd like to return to a vigilante approach. Tar & feathered then trolled astern if the next boat out of the harbor. These hundreds of fires all in days of one another highly stinks of A-holes.

    • I would remind everyone that the cause of the fire is under investigation. No one can say what did or did not cause it, unless they witnessed it.

  • Regarding what caused the upper canyon blaze, the point is, if its concluded to have been intentional, I want to see immediate responses outside the judicial level. Exportation, brief incarceration, doesn't work. A huge consequence might more effectively detour a mean careless act of stupidity.
