Road and Lane Closures Scheduled for March 8 – March 14, 2026

MONTEREY COUNTY – Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday, March 8, through Saturday, March 14 – newest information is in bold text. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1: SB Highway 1 Point Sur Lighthouse Station(Post Mile 54.87): Long – Term One-way traffic controls will be in place along southbound Highway 1 the Point Sur Lighthouse Station at Post Mile 54.87, for slide-temporary signal work. Travelers may encounter a 15-minute delay.

Highway 1: Postmile 54.3 – Postmile 53.3: March 13 – April 3
One-way traffic controls will be in place along southbound Highway 1 postmile 54.3 and postmile 53.3 for slide-temporary signal work from 7am to 7 am. Travelers may encounter a 15-minute delay.

Highway 1: Paul’s Slide: March 9 – March 13
One-way traffic controls will be in place along northbound and southbound Highway 1 at Paul’s Slide for emergency work from 7 am to 5 pm. Travelers may encounter a 10-minute delay.

Highway 1: Fullers Point: March 9 – March 13
One-way traffic controls will be in place along northbound and southbound Highway 1 at Fullers Point for emergency work from 7 am to 5 pm. Travelers may encounter a 10-minute delay.

Highway 1: Big Sur River Inn – Molera Park Entrance/Coast Road: March 9
One-way traffic controls will be in place along northbound and southbound Highway 1
between Big Sur River Inn and Molera Park Entrance/Coast Road for mowing work from 8:30 am to 3 pm. Travelers may encounter a 15-minute delay.

Highway 1: Molera Park Entrance/Coast Road – Point Sur Naval Facility: March 9 – March 12
One-way traffic controls will be in place along northbound and southbound Highway 1 between Molera Park Entrance/Coast Road and Point Sur Naval Facility for emergency repair work from 7 am to 5 pm.

Highway 1: Turnout South of Lime Creek – Anderson Canyon Bridge: March 10 – March 11 
There will be a moving lane closure along northbound and southbound Highway 1 between the turnout south of Lime Creek and Anderson Canyon Bridge for mowing work from 8:30 am to 3 pm. Travelers may encounter a 15-minute delay.

Highway 1: Rocky Creek Bridge – Rocky Creek Viaduct: March 11 – March 13 
One-way traffic controls will be in place along northbound and southbound Highway 1 between Rocky Creek Bridge and Rocky Creek Viaduct for bridge work from 7 am to 5 pm.

Highway 1: Garrapata Creek Bridge – Crab Lab: March 12
One-way traffic controls will be in place along northbound and southbound Highway 1 between Garrapata Creek Bridge and Crab Lab for sign work from 8:30 am to 3 pm. Travelers may encounter a
15-minute delay
