*Big Sur Interactive Highway Maps with Slide Names & Mile Markers

Below are the interactive maps. While not truly interactive, the name of each location is also a link that will open a picture of that location. Some locations are on private property and trespassing laws are strictly enforced. Please see additional notes and instructions at the bottom for more information.

When viewing the photos, you can choose the “Time Comparison” link at the top left of the California Coastal Records Project website for newer or older photos. Selecting the photo itself will open the photo in high resolution. Additional photos are provided by Google Street View.  The original maps were created by Caltrans for the Big Sur Coast Highway Management Plan . They are 11×17 and best viewed in PDF format.
