Panache Fire, San Benito Co

6:30 pm -Panoche Fire off Panoche Road, 2 miles north of CAL FIRE Antelope Station, southeast of Hollister (San Benito County) is now 250 acres and 5% contained. Here is a map:


You might remember that only a month or two ago, there was another Panoche Fire on this road that resulted in the death of a woman, her child, and her baby, allegedly started by a bbq.

  1. Wow! I don’t remember hearing about those deaths from the previous fire. How sad!


  2. Very. Apparently, the husband/boyfriend went to the store and didn’t put the bbq out and it caught the trailer where they were on fire. In June, I think.
